HOW DO I EXTEND THE LIFESPAN OF MY SCISSOR?

Extend the lifespan of your scissor and yourself through daily and timely maintenance. Proper maintenance of your scissor contributes to the prevention of RSI, carpal tunnel syndrome and other disorders. In addition, proper maintenance also contributes to the preservation of the material and the cutting pleasure. After all, you don’t want to limit yourself in your creative possibilities due to poorly functioning material.

As with all the materials that you own, maintenance of your KYONE scissor is also important. If you maintain it regularly, this will considerably extend the lifespan of your scissor and increase the cutting pleasure. Spending a few minutes a week on your material will give you a lot of fun!

  • Daily

When your workday is over, wipe the hair scraps off your scissor with a dry cloth. Any care products that could damage the scissor if they remain on them for a longer period of time, are also removed in this way.

  • Weekly

Place a drop of oil between the cutting blades, at the level of the screw, regularly (weekly). In this way, the scissor will continue to cut smoothly and hair scraps around the screw will be removed.

  • when needed

Adjust the screw if necessary. If a screw is set too loose, there is a chance that the scissor will not function properly. The hair can beat double or the blades can hook into each other, creating damages. If the scissor cuts well, do not adjust the screw unnecessarily to prevent problems (damage). If you don’t know how to adjust the screw, please don’t start with this! This can cause unnecessary damage. In this case, we recommend sending the scissor back to the wholesaler where you bought it, and they will send it back to us.

  • regularly

Also regularly remove the (plastic) eye rings to remove any residual hair and care products. Some chemical products can affect the metal, which can cause damage. In addition, it is very important to keep the scissor closed while doing this. In this way you prevent damage to the scissor.
